No Sound of a Hammer
7/14/03
Psalmists: Pastor Tom Marxen & Pastor Judy Sky

Background information on this song written by Rebecca St. Louis:

This particular song came forth after the music had died down and it looked as if things were coming in for a landing. We had spent the evening in worship really pressing in as a group and the focus was “Pressing from the Inside” as we came together in unity. Even though the evening was full… it did not yet seem fulfilling. I wanted to so badly to switch the song, as we seemed to have tapped out the one we were playing. The music had faded… a prophecy came out about how God wanted to really do something that night. Then Pastor Tom (our drummer) looked around the room a little and said to Pastor Georgiann (our guitarist), “Play those chords again…”

What we cannot possibly bring across in the written form of this song, is the other words and phrases that provide a backbone to this piece. As Pastor Tom tapped into the deep well he has inside, the rest of us stood around him in the Spirit with ladles in hand. We knew we were drawing out the living water that causes us to never thirst again. To this day, many of us lovingly talk about the night that there was No Sound of a Hammer!

PASTOR TOM BEGINS TO SING:
No sound of a hammer here…
No sound…
No sound of a hammer here…

Don’t forsake the assembling of yourselves
Don’t leave this place again
No sound of a hammer here…
No sound is here

This is the place where all the stones come together…
And my temple is built
And everything formed must be shaped and fitted
It’s done out in the wilderness, yes it is!

No sound of a hammer here…
No need to strike a rock!
Just speak to that thing ~ see it come together
Living stones one by one

Everyone comes out
All in one piece ~ all in one…
By your families, my warring ones
We come out to come into this place

No sound of a hammer…
This is the place of my temple
No sound of a hammer…

PASTOR TOM SPOKEN WORD:
No one’s forced, no one’s pushed, and no one’s shoved. The Kingdom of God is the Kingdom of Liberty and the Kingdom of True Freedom! Nothing needs to be pushed ~ it only needed to be shaken.

PASTOR TOM BACK TO SINGING:
It only needed to be shaken!
And washed, cleaned from the inside out
I made Adam from nothing,
But his bride I built
I built my bride from the stuff of the earth
Out of the cursed ground, I pulled the Holy
No sound of a hammer here
Only praises… only praise…
Only satisfaction as Peace finds her way
And assembles my living stones
See the walls… see the…

PASTOR TOM SPOKEN WORD:
His permanent temple, the temple of Solomon… the temple built by the most wise! (Ha ha!) Can you imagine… have you seen the size of those stones? Have you seen the size of those stones? How did they know… how to cut them? How did they know how to move them? How did they know where to place them? Let wisdom have her way! Do not forsake the assembling of yourselves… do not turn away from it… do not deny it! No body could see the temple until it was assembled. It was just a pile of rocks at the bottom of the hill. But they brought them up, and they stacked them up, and they covered them with cedar, and they covered them with gold. And they put the articles in. There was a basin and a menorah and all these things… and all this construction, and those two huge pillars… Oh… two witnesses!

PASTOR TOM BACK TO SINGING:
No sound of a hammer as they stood them up
No sound and no strife
Nothing works against me in this place and in this process

I bring you here to assemble you
I bring you here so you can be seen
I bring you here to display My glory

Let no root of bitterness come between anyone
No strife… No strife…
No strife… No strife…
But forgive… and be forgiven

(Pastor Tom) This is the foundation of my Kingdom…
(Pastor Tom) To forgive and be forgiven… (Pastor Judy) See the size of those stones?
(Pastor Tom) Ah, this is the expression of myself… my mercy
(Pastor Tom) So the world can see…

(Pastor Tom) No sound of the hammer…
(Pastor Judy) See the size of those stones?…(Pastor Tom) Wholeness
(Pastor Judy) See the size of those stones
(Pastor Judy) See the size of those stones?…(Pastor Tom) Fitly framed and joined
(Pastor Judy) Oh my God… How’d they do that?
(Pastor Judy) See the size of those stones?
(Pastor Judy) How’d they do that?

PASTOR TOM SPOKEN WORD:
Harmony… Can you hear? These stones have a sound… these stones are alive! Every cell… is HEALTHY! Not one came out of Egypt… that was not whole. Not one comes in… that is not fitted and framed. (Ha ha!)…See it takes… it takes healthy cells in a leaf to produce the fruit. You get no good fruit from sick leaves. You get no good fruit from sick cells… they got to be whole! They got to be whole, and they got to be joined together and it has to flow through them… I have to have liberty in my house… I have to be able to move through you. I jump from one to the other and go as I will for I must have My freedom in My own house…

PASTOR TOM BACK TO SINGING:
Will you allow Me
My liberty in My own house?
Will you trust Me
In My habitation
Will you allow Me to move?

Will you allow Me to live
Will you allow Me to live in you
Go through you and go to another
And them come back
And know that you’ll never be short changed
Oh… no jealousy… no strife…
Is any substitution for a yielding to My will
I AM that I AM!
I am in my house and I am assembling you together here in this place
For My will and purpose
Yes!… I will do things as I have said I will do them… I am not a liar!
Not a liar!

No sound of a hammer in this house
No one strikes another…
No one calls another something he is not
No sound of those things here

My house is a house of peace
My house is a house of Shalom
Whosoever will… whosoever will… whosoever will…
Can come in here, Jew and Gentile, both the same

I am the one who loves you most and I love them all
Allow Me to move in this house of Mine
Feel My breath and the brush of My garment
As I pass through you… as I pass through you
Know Me now in a new way… know Me now as I AM!

(Pastor Tom) Oh, in My own house… (Pastor Judy) Only harmony
(Pastor Judy) Only liberty
(Pastor Judy) Only harmony… (Pastor Tom) Yes, just a little liberty
(Pastor Tom) Just a little liberty… (Pastor Judy) Only liberty…
(Pastor Tom) Can you allow Him a little liberty in His own house?

PASTOR TOM SPOKEN WORD:
We found out once that a prophet is not known in his own town. And so often the Lord is not recognized in His own house…

PASTOR TOM BACK TO SINGING:
But see Him now as He passes through…
As He passes by… Oh… Yeah….
One will sing, one will prophesy, and one will pray, one will teach, and one will heal…
…But it’s ALL ME!

(Pastor Tom) No sound of another one here… (Pastor Judy) Only harmony
(Pastor Tom) No sound at all… (Pastor Judy) Only liberty
(Pastor Judy) The sound of liberty… (Pastor Tom) No sound of a hammer in this place
(Pastor Judy) The sound of my order…

PASTOR JUDY SINGS:
Only harmony… only liberty
No sound…
The sound of many waters…
No sound, no sound, no sound…
But the sound of many waters flowing in harmony
No sound of a hammer….
Only harmony… only liberty…
No sound of a hammer…
No sound of a hammer…
No sound of a hammer…
No sound of a hammer…
